Lectures, Empowerment, and Awareness for Autoimmune Disease (LEAD) Day
In recognition of Autoimmune Disease Awareness Month, we are proud to host the inaugural Lectures, Empowerment, and Awareness for Autoimmune Disease (LEAD) Day, made possible by the generous support of the Global Autoimmune Institute.
The programming features a patient-centered segment in the afternoon, including a lay-friendly panel discussion and Q&A session with leading medical research experts. Following the panel, attendees are invited to a social reception offering exclusively gluten-free refreshments.
Preceding LEAD Day’s lay-friendly panel discussion and Q&A session is the Walter and Jean Boek Leadership in Research Award Lecture. This scientific and highly technical award lecture honors a researcher whose work has significantly advanced the understanding of autoimmune diseases.
